Maple Pass Loop

Stehekin, WA

Maple Pass Loop-as it states in the name-is a loop trail, with a 2000 ft. elevation gain totaling 7.5 miles. This hike is on the tougher side, but it's filled with some of the most incredible views I've ever seen. You can choose to take this trail clockwise, or counter clockwise.  If you choose to go clockwise, it's steeper going up and moderate going down, or you can go counter clockwise (my preferred choice) and go more moderate on the way up, and steep on the way back down. It's rough on the knees, but fun to run down. I've completed this hike three times now, and it's never failed to absolutely amaze me. A true gem.
